Biography
An immersion in the culture of Sa Penya birthed Grayswan in the crucible of Ibiza’s oldest barrio.
“Living in the favela of ibiza, outside of the law was challenging to say the least – a school for the apocalypse, but so rich and life affirming. Flamenco on my doorstop and a true experience of tribal humanity. It made a man out of me, but it broke me twice in order to get there” Grayswan
As a DJ, Grayswan reaches into the deeper side of island life and weaves its disparate threads into a rich musical tapestry of hypnotic songwriting, organic electronica and lush soundscapes.

His roots stretch all the way back to the birth of rave in the UK, taping pirate radio as a teenager hooked on the unearthly soundscapes of bleep techno and raging breakbeat. His 30 year DJ career started soon after, helming the legendary Bristol super-club, Lakota, as a resident for 5 years at the height of the UK 90’s nightlife explosion.
As a solo producer, or in the electronic act Deepgroove his recordings have charted the peaks of an ever growing scene for over 25 years. Most notably a sound engineering gig with the legendary DJ Sasha blossomed into a second career.
The first fruits of this endeavour delivered Sasha's mighty remix of Hot Chip's “Flutes”. Its combination of musicality and tough rhythms provided a mainstay for DJ’s that summer, closing the year as the 2nd biggest selling single on Beatport. Sasha's Involver 3 followed, which resulted a rare No 1 for an original artist album, topping the iTunes dance music chart amongst a multitude of compilations.
The latest phase in his evolution sees him soundtracking some of Ibiza's most iconic venues including 7pines, Pikes, Kumharas, Me Hotel, Sol Hotel, Ocean Drive, Hotel Teranka, Space Eat and Dance, You, Aluna Funky Rooms and Word of Mouth Radio Cafe. The itinerant party Altelier 5, produced with Daniela Biagetti has united the worlds of fashion and music to entertain a truly unique island audience of all ages and nationalities.
